Even More Quilts!
My Quilt Gallery
I have done many quilts over the past ten years. These are some that I want to share with you.
This is a close-up of my piece from earlier. The face was pieced first with cotton fabric that I hand-painted, and then details were added.
Connie's Favorite!
This hand-colored quilt is inspired by the book "Quiltart" by Trish Stuart. I would never have finished it if my colleague, Connie, never quit badgering me about it!
Puzzled!
This is inspired by "Puzzle Quilts" by Paula Nadelstern. It was a lot of work, since every block involved MANY templates! Accuracy was extremely important, and proved to be the biggest challenge! SOLD!
Three Dancers Gone WIld!
This is my quilting take on Picasso's "The Three Dancers". IT was inspired by Ruth McDowell's method of piecing, and just because I REALLY like the piece!
The Blues
This is my response to the Edmonton Quilters' Guild's challenge for 2007, entitled "The Blues". Again, I encorporated Ruth McDowell's piecing methods. However, the piece ended up too big to enter into the contest! My medieval lady has the blues because her lover has left her, and she is lying outside the castle, in a field with her cat. You are looking at her through a window.
Fantasy Falls Again
While teaching my landscape workshop in Jasper this past November (2007), this piece was a result of showing techniques and such. I am now finishing it, and it will then be for sale!
All of the pieces on this website are for sale! For information on size and price, please e-mail me at darlenebayley@yahoo.com
