ART QUILTS by Darlene Bayley

Some of My Favorite Pieces Landscapes Originals! Even More! The Family ...

Being a Fibre Artist is a wonderful existence ...

Welcome to the first of my two web sites!

I am an art quilter and fiber artist from Edmonton, Canada.  I have displayed and taught in several cities, and been fortunate to receive a few gold medals along the way!

I am a member of the Edmonton & District Quilters' Guild and a fortunate new member of Fibre Friends.  I work at Quilter's Dream in Edmonton.  I am available to teach to your guild or group - stay tuned for details!

I have a second web site with even more pictures that I am starting to build!  Also check out quilting.freehosting.net  Thanks!  I appreciate your continued interest in my work.

This is my latest piece, titled "Girl in the Window". I am a medievalist at heart. She is totally pieced, and I painted her face.

This piece was inspired by a work by Roger Alexandre, entitled "Halte a quatre temps".

Almost all of my quilts and originals are for sale. In February, 2008, I sold 6 pieces! My work is now travelling to Germany, Poland, and Toronto Canada.  If you are interested in any of my pieces, please contact me!

This is a large scrap quilt that I am very proud of. My pattern is a commercial one called "Mumbo Gumbo".  I used purchased batiks and fabrics that I painted with seta color in it.
